About The Position

As a Fence Helper at National Construction Rentals, Inc. (NCR), you will assist the Fence Foreman with installing and maintaining fences according to company standards. The role supports fence operations, safe working practices, customer satisfaction, and a positive team environment. You will represent NCR professionally and follow safety protocols. The work is highly physical and takes place outdoors, including in extreme weather. It involves driving and walking for extended periods, working around moving mechanical parts and loud equipment, and sometimes working at heights or in precarious locations. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and make occasional independent decisions.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret safety rules, operational manuals, and maintenance instructions.
Ability to perform arithmetic with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Ability to use common-sense reasoning to carry out detailed written and verbal instructions.
Valid driver's license and a Motor Vehicle Record within company guidelines.
For positions requiring driving a vehicle with a GVWR of 10,000 lbs. or more: be at least 21 years old and possess a DOT medical card.
Ability to perform frequent holding, pulling, or pushing of up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

Inspect and test vehicles and equipment daily to ensure safe and proper operation.
Load trucks with the equipment and materials needed for daily assignments and secure them properly.
Attend job sites with the Foreman and meet with customers to review project details.
Install fence poles, erect fences, and tension wire according to NCR specifications.
Clean job sites, remove debris, and secure equipment on the truck after work is complete.
Clean and maintain trucks and restock materials for future fence installations.
Follow safety protocols, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and participate in required safety meetings.
