About The Position

Sunbelt Rentals is hiring a Fence Installer in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area to install and remove temporary fencing and construction-site security solutions. This is a hands-on, physically active outdoor construction and field labor role involving work at customer and construction sites across greater Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, and surrounding regions. The installer uses hand and power tools to complete work according to job specifications, with an emphasis on safety, efficiency, and customer service, including under tight deadlines. Training is provided.

Requirements

Comfort performing heavy outdoor labor in various weather conditions.
Ability to physically handle panels weighing 50–80 lbs.
Familiarity with basic hand and power tools, such as drills, power washers, post drivers, and banding equipment.
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
Motivation to complete work correctly.
Dependable personal transportation to reach the Pittsburgh branch and job sites daily.

Nice To Haves

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record capable of passing a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) check; preferred but not required.
Experience operating a forklift or one-ton truck.
Experience in general construction, landscaping, or outdoor trades.

Responsibilities

Safely set up, maintain, and dismantle temporary fencing, barricades, and access control assets at customer and construction sites.
Complete job paperwork accurately, including JHAs, site checklists, and truck inventory logs.
Work with Lead Fence Technicians and Operations Managers to navigate safely and efficiently to job sites.
Maintain a clean, hazard-free workplace and follow safety protocols.
Represent Sunbelt Rentals professionally with a positive attitude and customer-first approach.
