About The Position

At Draycott, we are a leader in the domiciliary care market, established three decades ago. We are looking for a Female Live In Carer to join our team. As a live-in carer, you will live with your client for the duration of your rota, ideally committing to a working pattern of 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off. We like to match our carers’ skills and experience to our clients’ needs, which may vary from physical and practical support to social and emotional care. Depending on the needs of your client, shifts can range from 10-12 hours a day. During this time, you will be able to take breaks, and if your client can’t be left alone during your break, cover will be arranged.

Requirements

Must be willing and able to undertake an Enhanced DBS check as a mandatory requirement (or show proof of being on the DBS Update Service)
Must be eligible to work in the UK without the requirement of company sponsorship

Responsibilities

Discreet and sensitive personal care, as well as catheter or stoma care
Meal planning, preparation, and potentially assisting with feeding
Medication administration and management
Light housekeeping
Assisting with mobility
Companionship and emotional support
Communicating effectively with the client and building a strong, lasting relationship
Working closely with the wider Draycott Head Office support team to ensure the best service for our clients
Keeping accurate, factual written accounts of your time with the client via our care management app
An awareness of the client’s emotional and spiritual needs
Observing and following Draycott Nursing’s Health and Safety policy
