About The Position

Draycott Nursing & Care, established three decades ago, is a leader in the domiciliary care market. The company focuses on building excellent, lasting relationships with clients and local support units such as GPs, Pharmacies, and other Healthcare Professionals. They match carers’ skills and experience to clients’ needs, which may vary from physical and practical support to social and emotional care. As a live-in carer, you will live with your client for the duration of your rota. Shifts can range from 10-12 hours a day, during which you will be able to take breaks, with cover arranged if the client cannot be left alone.

Requirements

Must be willing and able to undertake an Enhanced DBS check as a mandatory requirement (or show proof of being on the DBS Update Service)
Must be eligible to work in the UK without the requirement of company sponsorship

Nice To Haves

Ability to commit to a working pattern of 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off

Responsibilities

Discreet and sensitive personal care, as well as catheter or stoma care
Meal planning, preparation, and potentially assisting with feeding
Medication administration and management
Light housekeeping
Assisting with mobility
Companionship and emotional support
Communicating effectively with the client and building a strong, lasting relationship
Working closely with the wider Draycott Head Office support team to ensure the best service for our clients
Keeping accurate, factual written accounts of your time with the client via our care management app
An awareness of the client’s emotional and spiritual needs
Observing and following Draycott Nursing’s Health and Safety policy
