About The Position

Draycott Nursing & Care, established three decades ago, is a leader in the domiciliary care market. The company focuses on building excellent, lasting relationships with clients and local support units like GPs, Pharmacies, and other Healthcare Professionals. They aim to match carers' skills and experience to clients' needs, which can range from physical and practical support to social and emotional care. As a live-in carer, you will reside with your client for the duration of your rota. Shifts typically range from 10-12 hours a day, with breaks provided. If a client cannot be left alone during a break, cover will be arranged.

Requirements

Must be willing and able to undertake an Enhanced DBS check as a mandatory requirement (or show proof of being on the DBS Update Service)
Must be eligible to work in the UK without the requirement of company sponsorship

Responsibilities

Provide discreet and sensitive personal care, including catheter or stoma care
Plan and prepare meals, and potentially assist with feeding
Administer and manage medication
Perform light housekeeping duties
Assist clients with mobility
Offer companionship and emotional support
Communicate effectively with the client and build a strong, lasting relationship
Work closely with the wider Draycott Head Office support team to ensure the best service for clients
Keep accurate, factual written accounts of time with the client via the care management app
Be aware of the client’s emotional and spiritual needs
Observe and follow Draycott Nursing’s Health and Safety policy
