About The Position

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or currently enrolled in a program at Northwestern University
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.
  • Facilitate workshops
  • Successful implementation of programs
  • Ability to Plan and problem-solve closely with teacher, staff, family, and community partners to begin or extend learning systems in the classroom and school via weekly Grade Level Team (GLT) meetings and other ways
  • Communicate sensitively and completely with teachers, staff, and families regarding continuous improvements in student learning systems
  • Strong communication skills (speaking - including presentations - listening, and writing)
  • Must live within the geographic boundaries of the City of Chicago within six months of their CPS hire date and must maintain residency throughout their employment with the district.

Responsibilities

  • Support and facilitate high-quality professional development for teachers and staff, so they continuously improve their students’ learning.
  • Develop / mentor teacher and parent leadership capacity on Wellness/ Whole Child Committee and create metrics and data system to measure the effectiveness
  • Develop Peer Jury
  • Lead systems improvements to SEL learning @lunch & recess; and lead coordinate technology systems improvements with Tech Team and individual staff.
  • Learning Hub provider for CPDUs
  • SEL assessment Coordinator and data analysis
  • Fulfill other responsibilities as determined by the principal
