About The Position

This next-level opportunity is open to individuals with some editing experience who are ready to launch their careers in post. The NAACP Creative Fellowship program, in partnership with Adobe, is a 14-week fellowship that includes training, mentorship and hands-on workplace experience. This Fellowship is for individuals who have some experience with video editing. The program includes an intensive week-long retreat to launch the fellowship in Los Angeles, with four days of training led by an Adobe Certified Trainer on Creative Cloud, focused on Text-Based Editing in Premiere Pro, Proxy Editing via NAS, Multi-Cam Editing and Content Creation with Adobe Express. The retreat also includes a meet and greet with NAACP leadership. Travel to Los Angeles will be provided, as needed. Mentorship includes both one-on-one guidance and collaborative group sessions called Craft Conversations, with mentors representing key areas of post-production: Editing, Motion Graphics, Audio Design, and Storytelling. Craft Conversations are exclusive sessions led by industry leaders exploring the business and creative sides of post-production, which will also be made available to the public via NAACP social media channels. Fellows will work on live productions and marketing campaigns with NAACP+ Studios, including in-studio and remote editing projects, social content creation, and live podcast production.
