About The Position
Come join Stray Cat Alliance and lead medical care for the cats who need you the most. This isn't your typical veterinary job. You'll treat more than a thousand rescued cats each year. There will be unique cases, neonatal kittens, grumpy seniors, and cuddly mamas. In addition to leading shelter medicine, you'll also get to do high volume spay/neuter and provide community members with basic feline wellness care and dentals alongside a growing team.
Requirements
- Commitment to the Stray Cat Alliance mission.
- Current California veterinary license.
- Current DEA license.
- Malpractice insurance.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Genuine love for cats.
Responsibilities
- Lead medical care for rescued cats.
- Treat over a thousand rescued cats annually.
- Handle unique cases, including neonatal kittens, senior cats, and nursing mothers.
- Lead shelter medicine efforts.
- Perform high-volume spay/neuter surgeries.
- Provide basic feline wellness care and dental services to community members.
- Develop protocols and shape the future of feline care.
- Act as an organizational leader in achieving goals and mission.
