About The Position

The Feedmill Operator maintains the operation of the feed mill, including receiving and ordering ingredients, batching feed, operating the pellet mill process, and documenting information about mill processes and operations. The role also involves unloading ingredients, cleaning the mills and facility, clearing plugged processes, and using technology to create feed.

The operator operates a locomotive and unloads and moves rail cars and trucks. Other tasks include pouring micros into bins, changing screens in hammer mills, and performing other assigned duties. The position involves working around dust, noise, and heavy machinery, and requires the use of designated protective equipment.

Requirements

• Ability to read and write legibly.

• Clean the mills and facility as needed and clean out processes when plugged.
• Use technology to create feed.
• Operate a locomotive and unload and move rail cars and trucks.

• Assist with other duties as assigned.
