About The Position
A well-established farm and commercial feedlot in west-central Nebraska is hiring a dependable, driven individual looking for a long-term opportunity. This operation runs 3,000–3,500 head of cattle alongside 3,500 acres of row crops, providing steady, year-round work. The role is primarily focused on feedlot responsibilities, with seasonal support on the farm. This is a long-term opportunity for someone who wants steady work, real responsibility, and the chance to build something outside of just their wages through opportunities like running their own cows.
Requirements
- Feedlot experience
- Ability to identify and pull sick cattle
- Reliable with strong work ethic
- Experience operating equipment
- Mechanically inclined
- Able to drive manual transmission
- Valid driver’s license

- Semi driving experience
Responsibilities
- Run feed truck daily
- Mix and deliver feed using the Performance Beef system
- Operate payloader and tractors in the yard
- Scrape and clean pens
- Spray pens and maintain yard conditions
- Identify cattle that are off-feed or falling behind
- Help pull and doctor sick cattle
- Assist with processing cattle when needed
- Grease equipment and check fluids regularly
- Spot mechanical issues before they turn into breakdowns
- Operate tractors during planting and harvest
- Assist with high-moisture corn harvest for feedlot use
- Help with pile packing and moving equipment
- Haul hay when needed (must be able to drive manual)
- Support general farm work as seasons change
- Assist with branding (rope and drag style)
- Take cows to grass
- Help during weaning
- Assist with cattle work when needed
