Ranch Hand- Cow/Calf
About The Position
Well-established registered cow/calf operation running 350 head is seeking a dependable Ranch Hand to join their team. This program values attention to detail, pride in the cattle, and strong cow sense. This ranch is one of multiple locations within the operation. The individual in this role will work closely with the ranch manager and operate largely independently day-to-day. Strong communication and teamwork are essential. This role requires someone who understands the added detail and responsibility that comes with managing registered cattle. Horseback work is welcomed but not required daily. This is primarily a cow/calf-focused position. Housing is provided on-site. This is a long-term opportunity for someone who wants to be part of a strong Nebraska registered operation and work in a structured, professional ranch environment.
Requirements

Nice To Haves
- Horseback work is welcomed but not required daily.
Responsibilities
- Daily cattle care including feeding, monitoring health, and pasture management
- Calving, tagging, pairing out, branding, and processing cattle
- Doctoring and treating cattle as needed
- Feeding duties including hay processor operation, caking cows, and maintaining salt & mineral programs
- Assisting with breeding, herd management, and sale preparation
- Operating tractors and ranch equipment
- Fence repair and general ranch maintenance
