About The Position

Working at our New Minas Feed Mill, this position could involve various tasks including learning proper operating techniques for all production and storage operations and related instructions and following HACCP protocol. The role involves mixing and/or weighing product, operating bulk receiving, grain processing, mixing and pelletizing equipment, and operating farm tractors, skid loader, forklifts and other machinery in a safe and responsible manner. The position requires maintaining accurate records for various activities, working and operating equipment safely and efficiently, keeping designated operating areas clean, and performing any other duties assigned to the operation. Additionally, the role includes loading and unloading feed trucks as required on site.

Requirements

Be physically able to repeatedly lift 25 kgs
Have basic computer skills
Have general knowledge of safe work practices and safe lifting methods
Be comfortable working with heights (ladders with safety railings)
Be able to work in a dusty environment
Be able to work the same shift for extended periods of time and change shifts on short notice
Be available to work overtime, sometimes on short notice
Enjoy teamwork

Nice To Haves

Preferably have forklift experience

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate records when filling hammers, mixers, pelletizers, bench, warehouse and other activities that require records
Work and operate equipment safely and efficiently
Keep designated operating areas clean
Perform any other duties assigned to the operation
Load and unload feed trucks as required on site
