About The Position

The Feed Mill Utility is responsible for keeping the feed mill area clean and orderly, maintaining and using assigned personal protective equipment (PPE), sending bag ingredients to the work floor, and unloading trucks with an electric pallet jack as needed. The role also provides backup yard-spotter coverage and is trained to perform Receiving Operator duties when the designated employee is absent. Other reasonable tasks may be assigned by a supervisor or member of management.

Requirements

• Be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Be able to multitask and be detail-oriented.
• Have good math, written, and oral skills.
• Maintain good attendance.

Responsibilities

• Clean the work area and perform day-to-day housekeeping, including removing dust from ledges, floors, equipment, and other surfaces.
• Use and maintain assigned PPE for each task.
• Send bag ingredients to the work floor as needed.
• Unload trucks as needed using an electric pallet jack.
• Provide backup coverage as a yard spotter.
• Perform Receiving Operator duties when the designated person is absent.
• Complete other reasonable tasks assigned by a supervisor or member of management.
