About The Position

The Feed Mill Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the feed manufacturing facility to ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective production of quality feed products. This position directs and supports feed mill team members, ensures compliance with safety and quality standards, coordinates production schedules, and promotes continuous improvement initiatives to meet operational objectives.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of DIRECTLY RELATED experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, both written and verbal.
  • Quick learner of Company protocols/programs and adaptable to change.
  • Reliable and ethical, with a strong work ethic and punctuality.
  • Team-oriented and self-motivated, able to thrive in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor feed sampling processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and established procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and timely completion of all feed mill documentation, records, and operational reports.
  • Verify and reconcile feed delivery tickets and related documentation to ensure accuracy and proper recordkeeping.
  • Supervise production and delivery activities to ensure customer requirements and production schedules are met.
  • Serve as a backup Panel Operator as needed to maintain continuous mill operations during absences or staffing shortages.
  • Provide training and create a positive work environment to help employees reach their highest potential in quality and productivity.
  • Organize manpower, materials, equipment, and production schedules to ensure efficient operations.
  • Oversee employee performance and offer constructive feedback, both positive and corrective.
  • Encourage open communication and employee involvement to build team morale and support company values.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify opportunities for quality improvement, cost savings, and process enhancements.
  • Ensure safety standards are followed and promote a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Availability to take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the Live Operations team.
  • Other duties as assigned
