About The Position

The Feed Mill Manager manages the production and delivery of high-quality feed to Tyson Growers at the lowest cost while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. The role oversees ingredient inventory, driver reports, and team members in Production, Housekeeping, and Preventative Maintenance. It coordinates production schedules, ingredient and parts ordering, feed recovery, and preventive maintenance; uses continuous-improvement methods to improve feed quality, production efficiency, and delivery performance; and leads safety practices and training. The manager addresses customer concerns about feed quality, delivery, and recovery, manages operations in line with budgets and capital plans, prepares capital requests, tracks key metric improvements, and communicates with the manager and the complex toll-milling partner. Minimal travel is required. The successful candidate must be willing and able to perform the job’s physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation. The role requires compliance with the company’s animal welfare policy and a signed biosecurity agreement; candidates must not own, possess, or maintain domestic, wild, or exotic fowl.

Requirements

At least 4 years of experience in feed mill and feed delivery management.
Valid driver’s license and a good driving record in accordance with the Tyson Fleet Safety Manual.
Proficiency in generating letters and spreadsheets and creating queries.
Must not own, possess, or otherwise maintain domestic, wild, or exotic fowl, and must sign a biosecurity agreement.
Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business, or a related field is preferred; equivalent management experience is also accepted.

Responsibilities

Coordinate production schedules, ingredient ordering, feed recovery, preventive maintenance, and parts ordering.
Use tools and methods to maximize feed quality, production efficiency, and delivery performance.
Lead the safety culture, provide training, and communicate effectively with the team.
Address customer concerns about feed quality, delivery, and recovery.
Manage operations according to budget development and capital plans, including preparing capital requests.
Maintain close communication with the manager, drive key metric improvements, and liaise with the complex toll-milling partner.
Perform other responsibilities as needed.
