About The Position

This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the feed mill building and surrounding grounds. The role involves a variety of tasks to ensure a safe and efficient working environment, including cleaning, assisting with ingredient unloading, groundskeeping, and operating various equipment. This role is specifically for current team members at the facility or complex, or those transferring from other Tyson facilities. The position requires adherence to all company health, safety, and biosecurity protocols.

Requirements

Ability to sweep and clean assigned areas of the mill.
Ability to help and assist with ingredients unloading activities.
Ability to clean up feed spills.
Ability to perform ground keeping duties.
Ability to use and maintain air driver equipment.
Ability to use high pressure water hoses to wash down and clean areas.
Ability to use PIT and skid loader to move pallets of ingredients.
Must wear required PPE.
Able to work in hot, dry, dusty, wet and cold environments.
Able to work holidays, weekends, and flexible hours as required.
Able to work in elevated areas and follow all safety procedures.
Able to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity Guidelines.
Maintain good housekeeping.
Communicate to all levels of Operations.
Follow and Operate within all Tyson Health and Safety protocols.
Able to Lift up to 60 lbs. and/or up to 100 lbs with assistance.
Able to Stand, Sit, Walk, Climb Ladder/Stairs with the ability to sustain physical activity throughout the day.
Must be under 4 attendance points.
Must have no written disciplinary actions in the last 6 months.
Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 90 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.

Responsibilities

Sweep and clean assigned areas of the mill and sign off when completed.
Help and assist with ingredients unloading activities like unloading of trucks.
Clean up feed spills.
Perform grounds keeping duties including using landscaping equipment such as mowers and trimmers, as well as snow removal equipment such as shovels, snow blower, and skid loader.
Use and maintain air driver equipment like blow guns to assist in cleaning activities.
Use high pressure water hoses to wash down and clean areas of the feed mill.
Use PIT and skid loader to move pallets of ingredients.
Wear required PPE.
Work in hot, dry, dusty, wet and cold environments with heavy exposure to ingredient dust and inclement weather.
Work holidays, weekends, and flexible hours as required based on demand scheduling.
Work in elevated areas and follow all safety procedures.
Sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity Guidelines including an agreement to avoid any avian species.
Maintain good housekeeping including service areas.
Communicate to all levels of Operations including Customers and Vendors both orally and in writing where required.
Follow and Operate within all Tyson Health and Safety protocols.
Lift up to 60 lbs. and/or up to 100 lbs with assistance.
Stand, Sit, Walk, Climb Ladder/Stairs with the ability to sustain physical activity throughout the day.
Complete all other tasks assigned by management.
