About The Position

This Federal Work-Study position supports the International Education department, specifically in International Admissions and Photography & Multimedia. The student assistant will help create visual content that showcases student experiences, campus events, and academic programs. Responsibilities include photography, photo editing, video production, and digital asset management for marketing and communication initiatives. This role offers an excellent opportunity to build a professional portfolio and develop skills in visual media production, content creation, and storytelling.

Requirements

Must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the current award year.
Must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress standards.
Must be enrolled in at least half-time (6 units undergraduate; 3 units graduate) per semester.
Must have a federal need of at least $2,000.
Submit all requested financial aid documentation from your To-Do-List by the due date.
Must have an official award notification from the Financial Aid Office.
Must be a U.S. citizen, eligible non-citizen, or permanent resident.
Ability to learn and perform assigned work.
Follow oral instructions.
Work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students.
Communicate effectively with all levels.
Read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.
Admission or registration as a CSU student.
Maintain a 2.0 G.P.A. or greater per semester and cumulative.
Students must be enrolled in at least halftime units at CSUSB (6 units undergraduate; 3 units graduate).
International students must have full-time enrollment at CSUSB (12 units undergraduate; 6 units graduate).
Eligible to work in the United States.
Social Security Card.

Coursework in Photography, Design, Multimedia, Communication Studies, or a related field.

Ability to capture and edit high-quality visual content for marketing and communications purposes.
Strong visual storytelling skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work occasional campus events as needed.

Responsibilities

Assist with capturing photos and videos at campus events, programs, and activities.
Support photo and video editing for marketing, communications, and social media content.
Assist with video production tasks, including filming, editing, and post-production.
Organize and maintain digital media files, photo libraries, and other visual assets.
Create visual content that highlights student experiences, academic programs, and campus life.
Provide general support for multimedia and content creation projects as assigned.
Perform other duties as assigned in support of departmental operations and outreach efforts.
