Federal Work-Study - Aviation Technology
About The Position
This Federal Work-Study position in Aviation Technology will provide administrative, outreach, and marketing support for the program. The student will assist with dual credit/dual enrollment outreach and the creation of an FAA Part 141 approved Training Course Outline. Additionally, the student will help develop documentation for Restricted Airline Transport Pilot school approval and, if time permits, contribute to the Aviation Accreditation Board International accreditation process. This role offers valuable experience in program administration, industry relations, and regulatory compliance within the aviation field.
Requirements
- Completed FAFSA on file demonstrating financial need
- Maintain an aid-eligible Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) status
- Current AAS Pro Flight or AAS Aviation Management student
- Student has successfully completed AVIT 132, AVIT 229, AVIT 135
- Self-starter acquainted with FAA regulations and advisory circulars.

Responsibilities
- Assist in flight student progress administration.
- Assist in outreach and marketing development.
- Assist in dual credit/dual enrollment program outreach.
- Assist in the creation of an FAA Part 141 approved Training Course Outline for ground coursework.
- Assist in Restricted Airline Transport Pilot school approval.
- Develop plan of action for Aviation Accreditation Board International accreditation (if time permits).
- Assist in program administration and outreach functions.
- Shadow program chair to understand day-to-day operations and industry partner growth opportunities.
- Help develop marketing initiatives.
- Help write FAA Part 141 TCO authorization and Air Agency Certificate approval.
- Build Restricted Airline Transport Pilot school approval request documentation and evidence.
- Work with program chair to develop Aviation Accreditation Board International accrediting documents.
