About The Position

At Children & Families of Iowa, you’ll lead a team dedicated to restoring hope, building futures, and changing lives for children and families across Iowa. In this role, your leadership directly impacts family stability, child safety, and long-term community well-being. This position offers the opportunity to contribute beyond day-to-day supervision by helping shape program operations and service delivery, supporting quality improvement initiatives, assisting with program planning, implementation, and evaluation, and collaborating with regional leadership and community partners. You’ll regularly collaborate with Department of Human Services staff, community agencies and providers, internal support teams, and families and caregivers. This role provides opportunities to strengthen your leadership and supervisory skills, clinical and family engagement practices, program management and operational oversight experience, training and coaching abilities, and problem-solving and decision-making skills. This role combines staff supervision and mentorship, program coordination, community collaboration, problem-solving, administrative oversight, and advocacy for children and families.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Human Services, or a related field plus four years of direct service and/or supervisory experience OR Master’s degree in a related field plus two years of direct service and/or supervisory experience

  • Supervise and support a team of Family Centered Services professionals
  • Coach staff in evidence-based practices like SafeCare and Solution Based Casework
  • Help employees grow professionally through ongoing supervision, feedback, and development
