About The Position
Prepares, presents, and serves food in a fast-food or casual setting at Carroll University. The role includes greeting guests, taking and relaying orders, explaining menu items, coordinating special requests with back-of-house staff, responding to customer concerns, cooking food safely, maintaining cleanliness, and processing sales transactions and cash. The schedule is full time, Friday through Wednesday, from 2:00 p.m. until closing; closing time depends on the location. Further schedule details are provided during the interview.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a lead role.
- Experience following set standards and safety and sanitation practices.
- HACCP certification.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly and warmly.
- Take food orders and efficiently relay them to back-of-the-house staff.
- Demonstrate a complete understanding of menu items and ingredients.
- Communicate with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are correct and special requests are addressed.
- Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner, relaying relevant information to a supervisor.
- Cook fast-food items in compliance with safety and safe food-handling standards.
- Perform light cleaning, including sweeping and mopping, to maintain sanitation and safety standards.
- Keep equipment, the work area, and facilities clean and orderly.
- Perform sales transactions promptly, ring up all items sold, and obtain customer signatures.
- Manage assigned change, funds, and cash receipts, ensuring the cash drawer is in compliance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
