About The Position

The Fast Food Attendant performs a variety of duties in a fast food or snack bar establishment. Duties may include completing customer transactions, cleaning food or stock areas, assisting in the kitchen, and maintaining inventory. The attendant also performs other responsibilities as directed by the business or assigned by management. This is a non-exempt position.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, take food orders, provide menu information, and identify opportunities to upsell products.
• Operate the cash register; accept cash or credit-card payments; accurately count and provide change; and follow customer service and cash-handling policies and procedures.
• Clean and stock the work area.
• Assist with locating, reconciling, and verifying the accuracy of transactions, and operate equipment with peripheral electronic data processing.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or cart.
• Assist with kitchen-related functions as needed.
• Receive inventory; move and lift food, beverages, and supplies; and maintain knowledge of products and services available in the unit.
• Follow food-handling procedures, including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating, and checking product temperatures.
• Clean and sanitize the workstation and equipment.
• Perform other responsibilities as directed by the business or assigned by management.
