About The Position

This position is responsible for all aspects of humanly raising and caring for the Smart Chicken® livestock. This includes tasks such as reading water meters, picking up daily mortality, checking for proper equipment operations, ensuring birds have water and feed, and ensuring all equipment is functional. The role also involves preparing houses for new chick arrival and placement, as well as preparing houses for bird load-out and reconditioning. The Farm Worker Operator will master and practice essential farm animal husbandry. Outdoor duties include mowing, grass trimming, and snow removal. The position requires adherence to all Animal Welfare Standards and biosecurity program regulations. Other duties may be assigned.

• Ability to use time wisely while working independently
• Willingness to function as part of a team and work toward team goals
• Good observation skills and attention to detail, eager to learn new ideas
• Willingness to work overtime and be called into work for emergencies as required
• Must be willing to adhere to and support all company policies, programs, guidelines, and standards of conduct.
