About The Position

Perform daily duties of a large farm operation which includes production of row crops, vegetable crops, dairy cattle operation, beef cattle operation, maintenance of buildings, grounds, roadways and the operation and maintenance of all farm equipment utilizing inmate workforce. Provide training, supervision and evaluation to inmate workforce while performing all farm tasks.

Requirements

• Knowledge of row and vegetable crops, greenhouse and orchard crops from planting stage to market
• General knowledge of maintenance and operation of farm equipment, cattle production, building construction and land management
• Demonstrated ability to operate farm equipment
• Demonstrated ability to supervise
• Demonstrated ability to follow written and oral instructions
• Demonstrated ability to keep accurate records
• Demonstrated ability to solve practical problems
• A valid driver’s license
