About The Position

This position ensures modern dairy techniques and technologies are applied to provide a quality milk producing dairy herd of 200 cows and 200 herd young stock. The Farm Supervisor will provide training and supervision to inmate workers to ensure proper cattle management, including handling and feeding of the herd. This role will also assist other areas of Agribusiness to support operational needs and provide training, supervision, and evaluation to the inmate workforce while performing all farm tasks.

Requirements

• General knowledge of maintenance and operation of farm equipment, cattle production, building construction and land management.
• Demonstrated ability to operate farm equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise.
• Demonstrated ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Demonstrated ability to keep accurate records.
• Demonstrated ability to solve practical problems.
