About The Position

This position performs skilled mechanical diagnosis and repairs in a timely and efficient manner. The role involves maintaining records of all repairs and service, keeping the farm shop clean and organized, and maintaining and accounting for all tools and equipment. A key responsibility is to train and supervise inmate workers to learn and utilize skilled mechanical methods/techniques safely and efficiently.

Requirements

• Considerable knowledge in all aspects of commercial trucks and trailers, passenger vehicle, and farm equipment maintenance, repair, and operation.
• Skilled in the operation of computerized diagnostics, power tools, and heavy equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to instruct others in the use & maintenance of equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to follow directions and supervise others.
• Knowledge to successfully use computer, for emails and record keeping programs.
• Skilled in teamwork.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of inmate supervision practices.
• Certified and Licensed Safety Inspector.
• Class A Commercial Driver's License.
