About The Position

The Farm Manager oversees all operations of a poultry farm to ensure optimal bird health and compliance with animal welfare standards. The role includes supervising staff; managing and maintaining feed, water, ventilation, and lighting systems; and preparing the farm for poultry placement and removal. The Farm Manager is responsible for efficient daily operations, poultry health, regulatory compliance, financial performance, and coordination with vendors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Knowledge of poultry or animal farming practices and procedures and disease management.
• Experience in managing a farming business is recommended.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the poultry farm.
• Ensure that all aspects of the farm are running efficiently and effectively.
• Hire, train, and supervise farm employees.
• Monitor and maintain the health and well-being of the poultry.
• Develop and implement protocols for biosecurity, animal welfare, and environmental sustainability.
• Manage the budget and financial performance of the farm.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to maintain the farm's operations and profitability.
• Manage and maintain feed and water systems.
• Manage and maintain ventilation and lighting systems.
• Prepare the farm for the placement and removal of poultry.
