About The Position
The Assistant Farm Manager for Crop and Soil Sciences assists with farm-related activities at Washington State University’s Eggert Family Organic Farm. The role supports crop production, including vegetables and fruit; equipment operation and maintenance; recordkeeping and data management; leadership of temporary and seasonal employees; and coordination of on-farm research projects. This is a permanent, full-time (100% FTE), overtime-eligible position with a 10-month position term, located in Pullman, Washington.
Requirements
- Three years of experience in farm work or maintaining livestock, including at least six months directing the work of others; or equivalent education/experience.
- Must have, or be able to obtain by the time of hire, a valid driver’s license and meet requirements under SPPM 7.10 and departmental driving standards.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
