Sugah Cain Farm, home to the horses of Old South Carriage Company, is looking for a dependable, self-motivated Farm Maintenance Technician to help keep our farm and facilities in excellent condition. This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys a variety of tasks, values flexibility, and takes ownership of their work.
Requirements
- Experience operating lawn and farm equipment preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and basic repair skills
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Able to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical work throughout the day
- Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation and a strong work ethic
Responsibilities
- Mow and maintain fields, pastures, and landscaped areas
- Operate tractors, zero-turn mowers, and other farm equipment
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and tools
- Repair and maintain fencing, gates, barns, and farm structures
- General property upkeep, including trimming, pressure washing, painting, and cleanup
- Assist with small construction and improvement projects
- Monitor the property for maintenance needs and proactively address issues
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized farm environment
