About The Position

This is a community-based position requiring home visits. The role involves providing Brief Strategic Family Therapy (BSFT), an evidence-based and strengths-focused model for at-risk youth and their families. Services are short-term and aim to help families overcome challenges such as behavioral issues, substance abuse, delinquency, and conduct disorder. The therapist will work within the Intensive In-Home Services team in Greenville County and surrounding areas, providing counseling, therapy, advocacy, and support to adolescents, youth, children, and their families to ensure they can live safely and successfully in the community. The position offers an opportunity to become certified in BSFT while working in a supportive team environment.

Requirements

• MSW or MaCC from an accredited institution, preferred.
• Valid South Carolina Licensure; LMSW or LPC preferred.
• Experience in providing both individual and family therapy, preferred.
• Experience working in direct service with youth and families strongly preferred.
• Daily travel required; willingness to meet clients on a flexible schedule during non-traditional hours as needed.
• Must be comfortable providing services in the community and in client homes.
• Good computer and technology skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable personal transportation.
• Good driving record.
• Minimum automobile insurance coverage of $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury liability.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Evidence-Based Mental Health Services to youth and their families, immersed in the BSFT model.
• Manage a small caseload and travel throughout the county to provide therapeutic intervention that is process and relationship focused.
• Facilitate BSFT primarily in-home to meet individual family needs.
• Regularly review and modify treatment plans to assure consistent progress and success of plan goals.
• Participate in training and consultation to obtain Brief Strategic Family Therapy (BSFT) certification.
• Comply with specific, daily documentation and assessment requirements.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.
