About The Position

Diversified Treatment Alternative Centers (DTAC) is opening a new female residential behavioral health facility in Cranberry Township, PA and is seeking a dedicated Family Therapist to join our clinical team. This role provides an opportunity to work directly with adolescents and their families in a trauma-informed residential treatment setting. The Family Therapist plays a critical role in strengthening family systems, improving communication, supporting reunification efforts when appropriate, and helping clients achieve meaningful treatment outcomes. The Family Therapist is responsible for providing family-focused therapeutic services for adolescents receiving residential treatment and their caregivers. The position works closely with clients, families, referral sources, and the multidisciplinary treatment team to support treatment progress, improve family functioning, and facilitate successful transitions throughout the treatment process.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field
  • Pennsylvania clinical license or license eligibility
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and families
  • Strong communication, documentation, and engagement skills
  • Understanding of trauma-informed care and family systems interventions
  • Ability to provide effective family-centered therapeutic interventions
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to trauma-informed and culturally responsive care
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary treatment team
  • Reliable transportation and ability to commute to Cranberry Township, PA

Nice To Haves

  • LMFT or AMLFT strongly preferred
  • Pennsylvania LPC, LAPC, LCSW, LSW, LMFT, AMLFT, or similar credential
  • Experience providing family therapy and family systems interventions
  • Experience in residential treatment, inpatient behavioral health, PHP, IOP, or community-based settings

Responsibilities

  • Provide family therapy services for adolescents and their families
  • Conduct family assessments and contribute to treatment planning
  • Facilitate family engagement throughout the treatment process
  • Collaborate with residential treatment teams to support client progress
  • Provide education and support to family members regarding treatment goals and behavioral health needs
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
  • Participate in treatment team meetings and case reviews
  • Coordinate care and communication with referral sources and outside providers as appropriate
  • Support discharge planning and continuity of care efforts
  • Uphold trauma-informed and family-centered treatment practices
