About The Position

The Children’s Mobile Crisis Team Services (CMCTS) Family Support Partner will provide support to the persons served and their families by engaging with families during crisis and by providing resources as needed. The Family Support Partner will facilitate family support groups. The Family Support Partner pairs with the CMC team to provide support to youth in crisis and their families. The Family Support Partner provides emotional support to the caregiver and fosters empowerment and expression of family voice. They share parts of their own stories as an intentional way of helping caregivers develop motivation and actionable insight. Building upon family strengths, the Family Support Partner supports the caregiver in ways that addresses the behavioral health needs of the youth. The Family Support Partner models, trains, and coaches the caregiver in relevant skills.

Requirements

  • Candidates must have personal experience in managing family issues related to children/adolescents with behavioral or psychiatric challenges, juvenile delinquency, substance abuse, autism, or similar issues.
  • At least two years of experience in managing these challenges is required.
  • Compassionate, empathetic, and understanding approach to family support.

Responsibilities
