About The Position

The Village Family Service Center, a private non-profit behavioral human services center, is looking to hire a part-time Family Based Coordinator in the Moorhead, MN region. This is an exciting program that brings together family members, friends, service providers and others to create a care and/or protection plan for the permanency and reunification of children. This position will facilitate time-limited, outcome-focused meetings regarding placement decisions and works with families on necessary skills to increase wellness of the family unit.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree plus experience working with children and families or in a human service related field.
• Excellent communication skills
• High energy
• Willingness to learn and work collaboratively with a variety of people and agencies.
• Self-directed
• Highly motivated
• Passion for helping make life better for kids and families.
• Excellent interpersonal, time management, prioritization and communication skills.
• Skills in negotiation, collaboration and ability to lead a diverse group towards conflict resolution.
• High organization skills
• Must pass criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate time-limited, outcome-focused meetings regarding placement decisions.
• Work with families on necessary skills to increase wellness of the family unit.
