About The Position

This role involves working with parents and community organizations, with a focus on supporting low-income families in high-risk communities. The position requires a hands-on approach to problem-solving and relationship building, aligning with the agency's core values and mission.

Requirements

  • BSW or BA in a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience working with parents or community organizations.
  • Previous case management experience.
  • Knowledge of Early Childhood Education and developmentally appropriate practices for infants and toddlers.
  • Experience with individualized and group lesson planning.
  • Ability to work with a diverse population, including low-income families.
  • Capacity to problem-solve and handle crises.
  • Willingness to work primarily in homes of low-income families residing in high-risk communities.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication (verbal and written) skills.
  • Knowledge of community resources.
  • Computer skills including MS Office.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to be empathetic, non-judgmental, respectful, and professional.
  • Flexibility.
  • Ability to hear the conversational voice, with or without a hearing aid.
  • Ability to see and read newsprint with or without corrective lenses.
  • Ability to speak and be understood under normal circumstances.
  • Ability to drive, including getting into and out of a vehicle frequently.
  • Ability to sit for brief periods of time.
  • Ability to climb stairs, bend, lift, and reach.
  • Ability to function within guidelines of Agency’s core values.
