Requirements

  • Proven background in customer service and face-to-face relationship building.
  • Enjoys meeting people and developing long-term relationships.
  • Possesses strong listening skills and emotional intelligence.
  • Can communicate with compassion, confidence, and professionalism.
  • Experience in consultative sales, hospitality, retail sales, customer-facing service industries, or another relationship-driven profession.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and goal-oriented.
  • Maintains integrity, discretion, and professionalism at all times.
  • Comfortable discussing important life decisions with individuals and families.

  • No cemetery experience is required. We provide training for the right individual with the heart to serve and the desire to succeed.
  • This position is an excellent fit for individuals returning to the workforce, including mothers whose children are now in school or are becoming more independent.
  • The relationship-building, customer service, multitasking, and organizational skills developed through managing a household and raising a family often translate exceptionally well into this role.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with families following the loss of a loved one and guide them through the cemetery and memorialization process with compassion, professionalism, and care.
  • Assisting families with cemetery property and memorialization arrangements following a death.
  • Providing exceptional customer service during a sensitive and emotional time.
  • Building genuine relationships based on trust, empathy, and integrity.
  • Following up with families after services to ensure their needs have been met.
  • Educating families about advance planning options for their own future cemetery and memorial needs.
  • Generating pre-need sales opportunities through relationship building, follow-up, referrals, and community outreach.
  • Maintaining accurate CRM activity and managing your sales pipeline.
  • Representing the cemetery with professionalism and a commitment to service excellence.
