About The Position
The Family/School Engagement Liaison is responsible for fostering positive relationships between families and the school. This role involves facilitating communication, supporting family involvement in school activities, and connecting families with school resources. The liaison will work to ensure that families feel welcomed and supported within the school community, ultimately contributing to student success.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Three (3) years of work history, including periods of unemployment, schooling, and volunteer work.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
- Understanding of family-school partnerships.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills.
Nice To Haves
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
- Experience in a school or community outreach setting.
- Bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish).
Responsibilities
- Facilitate communication between families and school staff.
- Support and encourage family involvement in school programs and events.
- Connect families with available school and community resources.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance family engagement.
- Serve as a point of contact for families regarding school-related matters.
- Assist in resolving issues or concerns raised by families.
- Promote a welcoming and inclusive school environment for all families.
