As CK Family Services’ Community Engagement Liaison, you will spend much of your time in the community—initiating conversations, meeting new people, representing our mission, opening doors, and moving promising relationships toward referrals, foster parent inquiries, donations, resources, partnerships, and other measurable outcomes. This is a visible, fast-moving role for someone who enjoys influencing action, maintaining momentum, and confidently following up even when the first response is “not now." Job Summary The Community Engagement Liaison is a relationship-centered, externally focused member of the Marketing and Communications (MarComm) team and is supervised by the Chief Business Development Officer. The position builds trusted community relationships, creates access to new audiences and partners, and converts engagement opportunities into measurable value for CK Family Services. Key Outputs Achievement of established minimum production targets for documented referrals, foster parent inquiries, donations, resources, access opportunities, collaborations, community intelligence, or other defined value associated with assigned programs, initiatives, and strategic priorities. Purposeful execution and follow-through on approved engagement strategies that produce assigned outcomes, supported by established goals, performance information, coaching, and internal resources. Timely documentation and communication of useful stakeholder feedback, recurring community themes, barriers, opportunities, concerns, and other observations that may inform leadership decisions or adjustments. The position also requires comfort with clear production goals and a willingness to use provided tools, reports, coaching, and support to improve outreach and follow-up. The Community Engagement Liaison must communicate useful community feedback, barriers, concerns, and opportunities to internal leaders and work effectively within a structure in which the Chief Business Development Officer provides direct management and the Director of Community Engagement provides functional leadership and guidance. The Chief Business Development Officer provides direct management, priorities, performance expectations, accountability, and final direction. The Director of Community Engagement provides functional leadership, coaching, relationship-development guidance, and support for community-engagement activity. The Community Engagement Liaison is expected to use these resources to remain organized, document important activity, maintain purposeful follow-up, review provided performance information, and improve results over time. Broader analysis, strategic prioritization, and organizational decision-making remain the responsibility of leadership.
