About The Position

The Family Preservation Services (FPS) Supervisor is responsible for the overall operations of the Family Preservation Services program in their county. The supervisor promotes the philosophy, beliefs, and values of the NJ FPS program and ensures adherence to its policies and procedures. They supervise and support FPS Workers and FPS Specialists in providing intensive, in-home crisis intervention, counseling, and skill-building for families with children at imminent risk of placement or in placement who need intensive services to support reunification using the FPS program model.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or Education.
At least 5 years of proven experience providing treatment services to families.
At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
Strong knowledge of child welfare and family support services.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage with and build rapport with families in crisis.
Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including families, community partners, and agency staff.
Proficiency in computer systems and software applications, including case management software and the MS Office suite.
Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance coverage.

Nice To Haves

Experience using an electronic health record (EHR) system.
Bilingual English/Spanish speaking ability.
