About The Position

The Family Preservation Services (FPS) Supervisor is responsible for the overall operations of the FPS program in their county. The supervisor promotes the philosophy, beliefs, and values of the New Jersey FPS program and ensures adherence to its policies, procedures, and program model. The role supervises and supports FPS Workers and FPS Specialists in providing intensive, in-home crisis intervention, counseling, and skill-building to families whose children are at imminent risk of placement or are in placement and need intensive services to support reunification.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or Education.
Five years of proven experience providing treatment services to families.
At least two years of supervisory experience.
Strong knowledge of child welfare and family support services.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage with and build rapport with families in crisis.
Ability to collaborate with families, community partners, and agency staff.
Proficiency with computer systems and software applications, including case management software and the MS Office suite.
Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance coverage.

Nice To Haves

Experience using an electronic health record (EHR) system.
Bilingual English/Spanish speaking ability.
