About The Position

The Family Practice Physician will perform a full range of physician services in accordance with granted privileges. This role involves directing, performing, or assisting in the instruction of other healthcare professionals within the scope of clinical privileges and responsibilities. The physician will provide preventive and health maintenance care, including annual physicals, and promote positive health behaviors and self-care skills through education and counseling. Responsibilities also include ordering diagnostic tests as applicable and requesting consultations or referrals with appropriate physicians, clinicians, or other health resources as indicated. The physician will be technically proficient in directing and teaching other medical staff, providing educational lectures, and participating in in-service training for clinic staff. The role involves seeing 10-14 patients per day in an outpatient setting.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited medical school with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.).
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Family Medicine or Primary Care.
  • Board-certified or board eligible in Family Medicine.
  • Successfully complete an accredited internship and residency program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
  • Current license to practice medicine in any state, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States of Columbia.
