Family Physician Cumberland Family Medical Center (CFMC) operates a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) offering a wide range of health and social services at multiple sites throughout Kentucky. To improve the overall health of the communities we serve, we are seeking experienced, full-time Physicians with relevant work experience, credentialing and residency in Family Practice Medicine.

Requirements

  • Certification through the Drug Enforcement Agency and valid licensure in the State of Kentucky are required.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified.
  • Completion of accredited Medical Doctor (MD) required.
  • Board Certification or board – eligible in area of specialty required.
  • Family Practice specialty strongly preferred.

  • Working with underserved populations is highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Treats a mixed patient population, across gender, age and ethnicity, as well as insured and un-insured patients.
  • Examine patient to determine general physical condition.
  • Performs physical examinations and preventive-health measures within prescribed guidelines.
  • Participates in provider staff meetings to develop problem-solving techniques and acquire team-building skills.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or as needed.
  • Must be able to secure credentialing through identified agencies (Medicare, Medicaid, etc.).
  • Effective oral and written communication skills required with a model motivating personality toward patients, colleagues, Medical Assistants and other support staff.
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records systems and keyboarding skills required and must be able to work some evenings and Saturdays.
  • Other duties as assigned.
