About The Position

This role involves providing patient-centered primary care to employees at assigned Marathon Health Centers through an Employer-Sponsored Direct Primary Care model. This model allows for smaller patient panels (800-1000 patients), longer appointment times (30-60 minutes), and an insurance-free work environment, focusing on prevention, wellness, and acute/chronic disease management. Providers will leverage technology for patient interaction and utilize electronic medical records and population management tools. Physicians will collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of residency with professional experience in Family Practice or Internal Medicine + Pediatric.
  • Board certification or eligibility and intent to certify.
  • Active state license.
  • CPR/BLS certification required at time of start date.
  • DEA preferred.
  • May be required to have a dispensing license per state regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient-centered primary care to employees at assigned Marathon Health Centers.
  • Focus on prevention and wellness, acute and chronic disease management.
  • Maximize provider-patient relationships with longer appointment times.
  • Collaborate with at least two or more Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) within the organization.
  • Work within an insurance-free environment, minimizing administrative and insurance-related tasks.
  • Utilize electronic medical records and population management tools.
  • Proactively work with patients to prevent diseases and injuries through lifestyle changes.
