Locum - Family Medicine - Middle Sackville
About The Position
The Middle Sackville Medical Clinic is seeking a Family Physician to provide Locum coverage from October 1st, 2026, to February 1st, 2027. This is a full-time position (1.0 FTE) within the Central Zone, specializing in Family Practice. The role involves providing comprehensive primary health care services to patients of all ages and stages of health or illness. The physician will work collaboratively with other providers in the clinic to ensure cross-coverage and same-day access. A key responsibility is the utilization of an electronic medical record (EMR) to document all relevant patient details in a provincially approved system accessible to the entire team.
Requirements
- Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- Eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)

Responsibilities

Benefits
- Guaranteed daily minimum income of $1,200 for family physicians ($600 or half-day)
- Additional shadow billings if above amount is exceeded
- Accommodations up to $300 per night
- Travel expenses (including air fare up to $1,500)
- Travel time up to 10 hours per week
- Licensing fees for College of Physicians and Surgeons (CPSNS)
