The Family Partner provides coordinated, community-based, family-friendly, culturally responsive and strength-based voluntary services to enrich the family unit and address the underlying problems of families that are experiencing challenges or have needs that threaten family stability. As an integrated health organization Acenda values the use of evidence-based practice or EBP's. Acenda’s Family Success Centers (FSC) are warm, welcoming neighborhood gathering spaces where families and community members come together for support, connection, and growth. FSC’s offer interactive workshops, family-friendly activities, and groups, as well as volunteer opportunities. All services are free and open to all. Additionally, the FSC’s offer free computer use, printing, and copying services.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in a related field with relevant experience.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, use of an insured vehicle and an acceptable driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field is preferred.
  • Spanish proficient

Responsibilities

  • Conducts intake assessment with each family to assess eligibility and need for prevention funds, and link families to resources when indicated
  • Provides prevention programs to families by developing and maintaining a robust family engagement approach.
  • Advocates for/with families as needed; increases the family's ability to problem-solve and advocate for themselves and their children.
  • Participates and assists in coordination of Center activities and events.
