About The Position

Eastern Shawnee Staffing Services, in partnership with Indian Health Services (IHS), is seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) for a contract assignment at Piñon Health Center. This role offers the opportunity to deliver comprehensive, community-focused care across the lifespan while making a meaningful impact in an underserved population. The position is fully onsite and serves patients of all ages. The facility is located in Piñon, AZ.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience as a family or Clinic NP
  • Strong clinical, diagnostic, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
  • Must be a U.S. citizen residing primarily in the United States
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (Family Nurse Practitioner required)
  • Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of recent clinical NP experience required
  • Active, unrestricted license in any U.S. state or territory
  • Active DEA registration (if prescribing within scope)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
  • Proof of education (diploma or transcripts required)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Indian Health Service (IHS) or tribal healthcare systems preferred
  • Experience working in rural or underserved communities strongly preferred
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide primary care services to patients across the lifespan in an outpatient clinic setting
  • Conduct routine exams, chronic disease management, and acute care visits
  • Provide pediatric care including well-child exams, sick visits, and developmental screenings
  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions
  • Prescribe medications and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Administer immunizations and manage preventive care services
  • Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
  • Document accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
