About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Family Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive healthcare services to patients of all ages, focusing on health promotion, disease prevention, and acute care management. The role requires a compassionate practitioner committed to high-quality patient care in a collaborative environment. Cardiology experience is required. The position is based in Brooklyn, New York, and is performed in person.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Nursing with a focus on a Family Nurse Practitioner program from an accredited institution.
Current state licensure as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Certification from a recognized national certifying body, such as AANP or ANCC.
Cardiology experience required.
Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with patients and families.
Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while demonstrating leadership skills when necessary.

Nice To Haves

Experience in acute care settings, including urgent care or ICU experience.
Proficiency in coding for medical billing purposes.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and medical histories.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and evidence-based practices.
Manage acute pain management strategies and administer injections as necessary.
Provide telehealth services to enhance patient access to care.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Document patient encounters accurately using electronic health record systems such as Cerner.
Perform procedures such as gastric lavage when indicated.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in urgent care, ICU, PICU, and ophthalmology settings.
Educate patients and families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions.
