About The Position

The Family Nurse Practitioner is responsible for caring for patients, maintaining accurate and current patient records and scheduling as well as administering follow-up appointments to patients as required. They work as a team with our nurses/medical assistants and physicians in delivering premium care to patients.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Basic computer knowledge.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years of Family Nurse Practitioner experience preferred
  • ACLS preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including medical histories and physical examinations
  • Diagnoses and manage acute and chronic health conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results
  • Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with state regulations
  • Educate patients on disease prevention, treatment plans, and medication management
  • Document all patient encounters accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Coordinate care with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, infection control, and organizational policies
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
