CVS Health•Gaithersburg, MD
•$50 - $108•Onsite

About The Position

CVS Health’s MinuteClinic is hiring a clinic-based Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate to deliver high-quality, evidence-based primary and family care. The position focuses on in-person patient care, with virtual visits conducted from the clinic when onsite patient volume is lower and virtual care does not delay or interfere with in-person care. Providers receive clinical and organizational support and are expected to practice at the top of their license. The role is based at the Gaithersburg, Maryland clinic and is described as full-time, with 30–35 hours scheduled per week. Care includes assessing, diagnosing, treating, and managing acute and chronic conditions; conducting diagnostic testing and preventive counseling; treating injuries and illnesses; coordinating care; and providing wellness services, chronic disease management, and preventive screenings. Clinic duties also include inventory management, opening and closing the clinic, patient follow-up, insurance verification, payment collection, routine examinations, and timely appointment management. Charting and follow-up are completed during the scheduled shift. Candidates must meet the education, certification, licensure, and other qualifications applicable to their provider type. Nurse Practitioners need an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner master’s degree, current AANP or ANCC board certification, and an active, unrestricted state APRN/FNP license. Physician Associates need graduation from an ARC-PA-accredited program, applicable degree qualifications, current NCCPA certification, and an active, unrestricted state PA license or eligibility to obtain one upon hire. Both provider types need active BLS certification, must complete a DOT certification exam within 30 days of employment, be able to pass a respirator fit test, and be physically present at the assigned clinic. Multi-state licensure may be required based on business needs.
