About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is hiring a PRN Family Nurse Practitioner to work across multiple clinics in the Wake Forest, North Carolina region. The role may suit providers seeking supplemental income or experience across care settings. New graduates are encouraged to apply. Providers deliver care in a high-volume environment and may work with different teams and clinics. Shifts are determined approximately two months in advance; clinic hours and schedules may change based on company needs, training, or float coverage.

The position provides urgent care, primary care, occupational medicine, and telemedicine services to patients of all ages. Clinical work includes minor procedures, suturing and splinting, orthopedic evaluations and management, X-ray review with Radiologist over-read, EKG interpretation, general dermatology, eye complaints, GYN care, and emergency management in a fast-paced setting.

MainStreet clinics are generally open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. At select KidsStreet locations, hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Requirements

• Family Nurse Practitioner board certification is required.
• An MSN or higher is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• EMR experience preferred.
• Microsoft Office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent care, primary care, occupational medicine, and telemedicine.
• Perform minor procedures, including toenail removals and foreign body removals.
• Perform suturing and splinting.
• Conduct general orthopedic evaluations and management.
• Review X-rays, with Radiologist over-read.
• Interpret EKGs.
• Provide general dermatology, eye complaint, and GYN care.
• Treat patients of all ages.
• Use emergency management skills in a fast-paced setting.
• Work across multiple clinics and with different teams as needed.
