About The Position

Spectrum Healthcare Resources is seeking a civilian Family Nurse Practitioner to join the Urgent Care team at the A.T. Augusta Ambulatory Care Center - Fairfax, in Fairfax, Virginia. The role involves providing high-quality care to active duty service members, qualifying veterans, and their families, working alongside an exceptional healthcare team. This position offers a supportive environment with access to specialty services such as pediatrics, radiology, pharmacy, and lab, all within the same building. Patients are Tricare insured, including active military, qualifying veterans, and their dependents. The Urgent Care Center operates from 7 am to 8 pm Monday through Friday and 8 am to 2 pm on Saturdays. The clinic sees 2-3 patients per hour and serves as an extension of the ED at Ft. Belvoir. Patients exceeding the clinic's scope are transferred to the nearest ED. This is a BLS-only facility without crash carts and typically does not see overflow from primary clinics. The role includes support staff (Nursing & MA) and operates within a stable culture with senior physician and nursing leadership.

Requirements

All active State licenses accepted
At least 2 years of experience working in Urgent Care / ER
Active BLS certifications
Active DEA registration

Responsibilities

Provide high quality care to active duty service members, qualifying veterans, and their families.
Work alongside an exceptional healthcare team.
See 2-3 patients per hour.
Transfer patients to the nearest ED if their condition exceeds the clinic's scope.
