Family Nurse Practitioner / PA - Carolina QuickCare, Biscoe NC
About The Position
Carolina QuickCare is hiring a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at our Biscoe clinic. Biscoe is a small town in Montgomery County in the Uwharrie region of central North Carolina, serving a rural community with limited healthcare options nearby. You will be the primary provider on-site, managing acute and episodic care independently in a fast-paced urgent care setting. You are supported by established clinical protocols, a dedicated clinic support team, and direct access to clinical leadership and network resources. Onboarding includes a structured clinical orientation designed to set you up for success from day one.
Requirements
- Licensed FNP-C or PA-C in North Carolina, or eligible for licensure
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- 1+ years of urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care experience preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and a patient-centered approach to care
Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute and episodic conditions.
- Perform common urgent care procedures, including laceration repair, abscess drainage, splinting, wound care, and DOT physicals.
- Order, review, and interpret diagnostic testing, including in-house labs and imaging.
- Prescribe medications appropriately and provide patient education on treatment plans, follow-up care, and preventive health.
- Document encounters thoroughly and accurately in the electronic medical record.
- Collaborate with clinic staff to maintain efficient patient flow, quality outcomes, and a strong patient experience.
